Barnoldswick, known colloquially as Barlick is where the brewery gets its name.
The idea to set up a microbrewery stems from years of home craft brewing and the great responses
from people who have tried it.
So in Oct 2009 the journey began, its been a lot of work, but I can say that its been worth it. The interest from local pubs during the setup period also gave me the will to carry on, as did the support of family, friends and a whole host of individuals both from within the brewing industry and people who helped in other ways. The aim of the brewery is not to try and compete with the big boys but to offer good quality locally brewed real ales, to compliment the already great varity we already have within this area, such as Timothy Taylors, Copper Dragon, Moorhouses and Naylors to name but a few, these are all top quality breweries which only means I have to make my beers to same exacting qualities. I hope you enjoy the beers as much as I enjoy making them. |
